I Love When Celebrities Advise Us on Nutritional Life Trends.

Good morning to all of our beloved friends and clients and as we navigate this little party of ours called life we are sometimes inundated with "Food Trends" promising us nothing less than our portrait as a centenarian on Jar of Smuckers Strawberry Jam.

Quite frankly, I find it charming that we take nutritional advice from celebrities whose only qualification is that they were born hot. Take George Clooney for example, after he tied the knot with his lovely bride, he swore off Vodka, Tequila, pasta and hotdogs and included more fresh fish and vegetables into his diet (Yeah, that's going to last). This is great but let's be honest, if George decided to go on an all Hamster diet tomorrow, you know that some celebrity chef would be on the "Today" Show teaching us how to make the perfect Hamster Kebob...mmm, yummy. In fact, if you just give it enough time, I think all "Food Health" trends will flush out to be, just plain flushable. Take Coconut oil for example, The American Heart Association recently released a report advising against the use of coconut oil.

The Dietary Fats and Cardiovascular Disease advisory reviewed existing data on saturated fat, showing coconut oil increased LDL ("bad") cholesterol in seven out of seven controlled trials. Researchers didn't see a difference between coconut oil and other oils high in saturated fat, like butter, beef fat and palm oil. They didn't mention Pork fat, could that be good for you...I'm no celebrity but I say go elbows deep in bacon this morning at breakfast. But wait fishman, Jenifer Anniston uses Virgin Coconut oil and she has a rocking bod...in fact, Dr. Oz said its use is a great way to boost your metabolism and lose weight. But wait, didn't Barbara Stanwyck (google her, she was the Jennifer Aniston of the 40's) tell us that Smoking L&M Cigarettes are "Just What the Doctor Ordered"? Hey, the only thing this Half-Lebanese Fishmonger indorses is running, not walking, to anything that makes you happy, in moderation of course. So put down your Hydrogen Water and just have of glass of aqua from the tap for old time's sake.

Or you could just enjoy some fresh delicious Seafood and sneak a frozen Reese's Peanut Butter Cup when everyone goes to bed...I've heard people do that kind of thing.
