Good morning to all of our beloved friends and clients and in case you missed it, yesterday marked the Summer Solstice, so let the Sunny Season Games begin
I don't know about you but I'm elated at the prospects of evening grilling splashed with sunlight, vacation planning and of course icy coolers stocked with one of Summer's best companions, beer. Now I dare not speak for anyone, but some of us, including your Half-Lebanese fishmonger aren't quite at swimsuit target weight yet. But hey, I can knuckle down in the next week or so and spearhead this problematic chunkiness and be ready for my "Speedo" strut in time for the 4th of July fireworks. Of course I was being completely sarcastic about wearing a Speedo and full disclosure, I don't think there was ever a time in my life when that kind of suit would have looked good on me. Heck, even my loving mother wouldn't dare let her baby fishmonger be seen in just a diaper for the fear that someone would mistake me for rising bread dough and toss me in a bakers oven...thank you Mom. And just for the record I will still "Swaddle" myself on the beach to this day, it not only protects me from the harmful UV rays but covers a multitude of sins when one has consumed 100 steamed clams the night before...Ok! Yes, I didn't need two sticks of melted butter but it happened, so let's move on. That said, I am serious about upping my game in the gym but I hope I don't end up like that women I read about on my Yahoo page, who became addicted to working out. She claimed that It became so easy to start comparing herself to others on social media, which led her to developing a mindset of - "how skinny can I get?" rather than "how healthy can I be?" Wow, that's sounds scary...uh, why are you laughing? I could become addicted to exercise and maybe even dial back my calorie intake to become...stop giggling, remember our "Judge Free Zone" promise.
Okay, you're probably right, I'm too strong willed to be addicted to exercise but I promise to eat better and I have created today's recipes with that in mind featuring Grilled Harissa Grouper with a Cool as a Cucumber Pearl Couscous Salad & Grilled Cumin Dusted Tuna with Spicy Peach Salsa.
