Good morning to all of our beloved friends and clients and as we go through this difficult time together, we cannot thank you enough for your support.

Honestly, the most difficult part of this terrible situation is that we cannot take care of all of you the way we so genuinely love to. So for anyone who was not able to place a curbside pick-up last week we offer our most humble apologies. You, our friends and clients mean the world to us and we will never forget how your kindness and patronage has allowed us to be your Fishmongers for the last 31 years.

Now to the Business at hand, there our some new procedures we have implemented in the hopes of delivering more excellent services and products while keeping us all safe and they are as follows.

Curbside Service is still available for all orders both FRESH FISH and TAKE-OUT, we just please ask for your patience while we gather your order and safely deliver it to your vehicle. Of course you can call in your order and we will give you a designated time frame in which to pick up your order. That said, we would love to tell you your order will be ready in 30 minutes or less but unfortunately we must schedule it for later in the day as we do butcher every piece of fish that is brought into Metro.

You may now order Fresh Seafood (Fresh Fish, Shrimp, Crab, Clams etc.) online with a minimum of 48 hours in advance.

Just Email us at lobsterman@metroseafood.com and please put ORDER in the subject line. Please include your full name, the day you would like to pick-up (curbside) along with your phone number so we may call you back to confirm your order. Please also include your credit card number, expiration date and security code.

Please see the body of this email or check our website for current fresh fish availability. Since we cannot get back to you immediately please call the store for all current pricing.

Regarding Take-Out (Hot, prepared meals from our specials and regular menu); Things have changed slightly, we please ask you to call earlier in the day and place your order. We will then let you know what is the next pick-up time. During our peak lunch and dinner hours we cannot always guarantee 30 minutes or less but I promise we will try.

We are still delivering (free of charge to those in our community who are at the greatest risk (the elderly as well as those with immune deficiencies). Please call at least 24 hours in advance so we can assist you better. Also, please know that our Curbside Service is completely safe and you never have to leave your car. Just pop the trunk and we will drop your order in.

Regarding phone calls; With only six phone lines it is not uncommon for all lines to be busy, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LEAVE YOUR NAME AND NUMBER ON THE ANSWERING SERVICE AND WE WILL CALL YOU EARLY THE NEXT DAY

Also along with our fresh fish offerings, we also carry fresh produce (Asparagus, French String Beans, Salad Mix, Potatoes, Onions, Carrots and so much more). Moreover, we have a full line of Rice, Imported pasta, olive oil and vinegars so please do not hesitate to ask for anything at all as we would love to save you another trip to the store. Seriously just ask, if we have it, you'll have it.

And lastly, We know that along with the obvious health issues some of you might be finding yourself in severe financial crisis, due to layoffs during this time. Please do not hesitate to call the store or direct message us on Facebook or Instagram so we may provide a hot meal, free of charge, to those in need. This will be practiced with the utmost discretion maintaining complete privacy to all of those involved. You have plenty to worry about but we will have no one in our community go hungry tonight.

Of course this week begins the Passover and Easter holidays and I promise we would like to make them as special for you as we can.

For one, Metro will be making our Gefilte Fish again this year but limited quantities so please feel free to call and reserve yours in advance. Regarding Easter, we of course will not have Lamb or Ham but we will have Shrimp Cocktail, Sushi, Crab Claws, Clams Casino, Scallops Wrapped in Bacon, Oyster Rockefeller, Smoked Salmon, Smoked Fish and so very much more... please call and let one of our Seafood Specialists help you plan your menu. And finally for all of you who have been the Little Chefs during this quarantine, we applaud you and promise that, once this is over we will hug you and throw in a slightly inappropriate back rub, free of charge. Now for those who still feel the need to feed, I sincerely hope you will enjoy today's original recipes featuring Pan Roasted Cod with White Bean and Tomatoes & Kick B@$$ Shrimp Tacos with a Mojito Slaw.

As always, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU and while I'm at it THANK YOU for allowing us the privilege of serving you.

Pan Roasted Cod with White Bean and Tomatoes Serves 4 This recipe is just the comforting culinary animal fur that your beloved tribe is looking for after a long day away from the home fire. This is your chance to go from little chef to Tribal leader among your own clan. Now remember, with the title comes the privilege of picking the house snacks...Alright! Cheetos are back in the house!

Ingredients 4 Cod Fillet at least ¾ inch thick, 6 to 8 ounces each 3 tablespoons olive oil divided, plus more for drizzling 1 pint of grape tomatoes 1-18 ounce can of White (Cannelloni) Beans rinsed and drained 2 tablespoons capers rinsed and drained 2 large cloves of garlic minced fine ¾ cup of Fish or Chicken Stock Salt and Pepper ¼ cup of fresh chopped flat leaf parsley

How it's done Season the cod fillets with salt and pepper and heat the olive oil up in a large non-stick skillet over medium high heat until the oil is shimmering.

Next, add the Cod fillets to the pan and cook (flesh side down first) for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until nicely browned and just opaque when fork tested.

Transfer the Cod to a warm platter and cover with foil to keep warm.

Add the remaining olive oil to the skillet and turn the heat to high; Add the tomatoes to the skillet and cook until they start to blister and become slightly charred, season with a little salt and pepper.

Next, add the beans, garlic, capers and stock to the skillet and reduce the mixture over medium high heat until thickened; season to taste with salt and pepper.

Lastly, nestle the cod fillets back into the tomato bean mixture and cook for another minute or two or until the fish is just opaque when fork tested.

In the spirit of tribal dining bring the skillet to the table and drizzle the dish with a little more olive oil and garnish with the chopped parsley.

Kick B@$$ Shrimp Tacos with a Mojito Slaw Serves 4 Do you really need a reason to make a round of Mojitos for you and your guests? I guess not but if anyone asks "what's the occasion", just tell them I trying to rid the yard of the mint you planted two years ago and we're having tacos coddammit, so stop asking so many questions.

Ingredients 1½ pounds of large shrimp peeled and deveined with the tails removed

For the marinade 2 tablespoons of olive oil 1 tablespoon of chopped Chipotle peppers...if you want to go for 2 tablespoons, you have my blessing The juice of 1 lime about 2 tablespoons 2 cloves of garlic crushed and chopped Salt and Pepper

For the Mojito Slaw ¼ cup mayonnaise ½ teaspoon sugar ½ teaspoon of white wine vinegar The juice of 1 lime 1 teaspoon of finely grated lime zest 2 cups of shredded cabbage; your choice of color 1 tablespoon of fresh chopped mint

For the Cucumber Salsa ½ of a Seedless (English) Cucumber peeled and diced 2 tablespoons of chopped red onion Half of a jalapeno pepper seeded and diced or 1 pepper of you dig the heat buzz ¼ cup of fresh chopped cilantro The juice of 1 lime Your favorite Soft tortillas; this is your call "little chef"; Flour or Corn either way but please grill them first

How it's done First combine the marinade ingredients in medium bowl with a good pinch of salt and pepper; toss the shrimp and let marinate while you prepare the other components of this dish.

To make the Mojito slaw whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, lime juice, lime zest and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Next toss in the cabbage and mint until well combined; adjust seasoning and set aside.

Next, make the Cucumber Salsa by combining all of the ingredients in medium bowl; season with salt and pepper and set aside.

Preheat a grill pan or gas grill over a high heat.

Remove the Shrimp from the marinade and grill for 2 minutes per side or until opaque when knife tested.

To serve, transfer the shrimp into a shallow serving bowl alongside of the Slaw, Salsa and grilled tortillas and get ready for the next excuse to make another round of cocktails. That excuse is, "Your building Kick@ss dreams and tacos. Full disclosure, you are in a "no judge" zone, so no excuse was ever necessary.
